Seek first to understand, then to be understood

On Sunday 6 November, I had the opportunity to speak at a business event in Wassenaar, the Netherlands, organized by the lovely Anne-Marie van Leggelo and Frederick Man.

It was a true honor and much fun for me to share my knowledge with their community of high-level female entrepreneurs of a subject that I'm very passionate about, deep listening.

We can all follow a path of success, fulfillment, and joy when we nurture our relationships, both professionally as well as in our private lives.

We can achieve that by genuinely listening to someone and understanding what their primary interests are and what they find important.

It's one of the 7 habits of the most effective people (Stephen Covey); seek first to understand, then to be understood.

This way, you can create a strong connection right from the start of a conversation.

A big thanks to everyone in the room! It was an absolute pleasure to have met you! I loved your engagement and our inspiring conversations after the talk.

And a huge thank you to Anne-Marie and Frederick!

See you all again very soon, and until then, enjoy being aware of your deep listening abilities. You never know,... that person you're talking to might become that ideal client you've been waiting for.

Are you interested in booking me as a speaker at your event? Please send me a message via the contact page.
